• Herbert J. Paine has been named the executive director of the Arizona Humanities Council.

• Mary Webster, a buyers agent at the Oro Valley Re/Max Office, has taken on added duties as the marketing transaction coordinator for two area offices.


• DOWL Engineers have merged with HKM Engineering, expanding DOWL’s offerings in the Tucson area.

• Cricket Communications, 5925 W. Arizona Pavillion Drive, will hold its grand opening Friday, April 25, at 3 p.m.

• Kelly Clarke Salon recently opened at 5900 N. Oracle Road in the La Posada Hotel.


• HSMAZLAW, LLC has leased 2,098 square feet located at 1636 N. Swan Road from Swan Office Property.

• Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation leased 18,281 square feet at 5151 S. Bantam Road from CCTC.


• Craig Hunter Wilson, an attorney for Bogutz and Gordon, P.C., has been named the 2008 recipient of the CLE Award from the State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Governors and Continuing Legal Education.


• Two Northwest locations of Curves for Women have collected and distributed nearly four tons of food for the Marana Food Bank and the Tucson Food Bank.

Each spring, the national chain has a campaign for local food banks.

Curves at La Cholla and Orange Grove, and Curves in Oro Valley, are both oned by Larry and Joy Bennett. During an “in-house” contest, donors gave just under four tons of non-perishable goods to the food bank.
