Head coach Rich Rodriguez and Arizona football have announced the addition of three true freshmen and a transfer to its class of January 2014 enrollees. In total, 10 new student-athletes joined the Wildcats’ roster with the start of the spring semester on Wednesday.
Jonathan Haden (5-8, 190) is a running back from Upper Marlboro, Md. He played for head coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim at Friendship Collegiate Academy and graduated in December 2013 in order to join the Cats for the spring semester. He’s rated a three-star recruit by both Rivals and Scout.
T.J. Johnson (5-8, 165) is a receiver from Cape Coral, Fla. He played for head coach Joe Bowen at Island Coast High School and spent the 2013 season at Milford Academy. In 2012, he earned PrepStar All-Southeast Region honors with 545 rushing yards on 53 carries with 13 touchdowns. Johnson was also a Lemming Top Player RB/TB selection. He’s rated a three-star recruit by both Rivals and Scout.
Freddie Tagaloa (6-8, 330) is an offensive lineman from Richmond, Calif. He’s a 2012 graduate of Salesian High School and played the 2012 and 2013 seasons at California. As a true freshman, he played in 11 of 12 games at left and right tackle. In 2013, he played in 12 and started seven games at left tackle. He was selected by his teammates as team captain for the 2013 season.
Michael Unzicker (6-2, 175) is a kicker/punter from Palmetto, Fla. He graduated from Palmetto High School where he played for head coach David Marino.
