The Petfinder Foundation, which provides life-saving cash, product and training grants to animal shelters and rescue groups across North America, will be competing in Animal Planet’s R.O.A.R. matching campaign from Oct. 14 through Nov. 12.
Standing for Reach Out. Act. Respond.,R.O.A.R is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our communities and in the wild. The Petfinder Foundation is one of seven charities Animal Planet chose to participate in its 2013 campaign, during which Animal Planet will match, dollar-for-dollar, all donations made to the charities up to $100,000.
The matching funds, which come from the proceeds of Animal Planet licensed products, are a wonderful way for pet lovers to double the impact of their charitable gift.
“If you’ve been wanting to make a donation to help homeless pets, the R.O.A.R. campaign is the perfect time to do so,” Petfinder Foundation Executive Director Lisa Robinson says. “The matching gift means your donation will provide food, shelter and vet care for twice as many homeless pets.”
The Petfinder Foundation will also be competing to win up to $40,000 in bonuses in various categories, including: Top Monthly Fundraiser (two prizes); Greatest Number of Donors (two prizes); Most Traffic to Your Cause Page (two prizes); Loudest “ROAR” Heard by Judges, and Most Active Pre-Launch Promotion. The winner in each category will earn a $5,000 bonus.
