Catherine Reynolds – Week 26

The writing of the week 26 blog marks the unofficial half-way point in this challenge. It comes at a perfect time too. I feel like I have finally hit my stride and am really trying to kick up my efforts to make the most out of the time we have left.

I was weighed and measured again yesterday and have lost a total of 25 pounds and 6% body fat! Most importantly though, I can see the changes in myself. Other people may have noticed for awhile now but when I look in the mirror, I can see it! It is such a refreshing and exciting experience. Did I mention it’s pretty motivational too??

Steve, my trainer, also mentioned that he has seen a tremendous improvement in my running. In the beginning, I was barely able to jog at 4 mph for longer than a couple minutes. Yesterday, he watched me sprint for awhile at 8mph and has decided to incorporate that into my workouts along with my daily 3-4 mile run. It feels pretty good to see objective changes in myself.

Thing I learned this week: Changes are happening and I still have 26 weeks to make more. I am going to reach my goal!!
