Encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle, Beth Ernst, the life enrichment manager at Splendido, has been selected to be the honorary race director for the Arizona Distance Classic.
For 10 years, the Arizona Distance Classic (ADC) has called Oro Valley home. For 10 years, this world-class event has attracted thousands of athletes and volunteers from four countries and all 50 states.

This Friday and Saturday, the first 500 people to pick up their race packets for the Arizona Distance Classic will receive $10 in OV Dollars.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training has been the Arizona Distance Classic Half Marathon’s benefitting charity for several years, and Ventana Medical Systems hosts the race’s start and finish line areas.

The Arizona Distance Classic has become the ultimate spring celebration of the active healthy lifestyle in the world-class town of Oro Valley and this year again benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program.
On behalf of the Town Council, it is our pleasure to welcome you to Oro Valley. Oro Valley is rich in history and natural beauty and we cannot think of a better location to hold your national event. Our community has a reputation as a haven for hikers, cyclists and wildlife enthusiasts.
At mile 19, running his first marathon, Jeff Ronstadt looked up and saw a sign that read: ‘Leukemia Survivor Thank You Team in Training’. Little did Ronstadt know that the money he raised with Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) would one day go towards his son’s leukemia treatment.
Oro Valley Vice Mayor Lou Waters has been named the Honorary Race Director for the 2013 Arizona Distance Classic, in which he will participate in the Champion’s Mile, a one-mile walk for the elderly on March 24.
