Lyndell E. Lauro, 68, born April 16, 1943 in Jamaica, New York passed away on January 23, 2012. She is survived by her son and daughter, James V. Lauro and Jeryl L. Lauro.
Lyndell was an accomplished woman, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, from New York Institute of Technology. Her passion was the support and recognition of American Veterans. In particular, Lyndell was a loyal supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, having achieved Gold Member status.
She was also honored by the 2011 Commander’s Club as one of America’s most loyal and generous supporters of the Disabled American Veterans. She contributed to the Republican National Committee in helping attain a Presidential victory for Ronald Reagan in 1984 and was honored for her contribution.
Lyndell was also a devout member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed life and was an avid Bridge player.
