Robert Baughman

Robert (Bob) Baughman was born in Louisville, KY on June 18, 1937.  He died in Oro Valley, AZ on July 11, 2013.

Bob was a Louisville native active in Scouting and by training an attorney.  From 1971 until 1977 Bob was Congressman Romano Mazzoli’s Chief of Staff.  He worked on Capitol Hill with other Members of Congress and as Director of Government Relations for various Washington-based organizations.

He retired and moved to Sedona, AZ in 1997 where he was a member, Vice-Chair and Chair, of the Sedona Historic Preservation Commission.  He was a Volunteer, Docent, interim Director and Trustee, of the Museum of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff, AZ and he was a Volunteer, Docent and Trustee, of the Sedona Heritage Museum/Sedona Historical Society.

He moved to Oro Valley, AZ (a suburb of Tucson) for medical reasons in 2004.  He was a member and past Chair, of the Oro Valley Historical Society.  He was especially interested and involved in the restoration of the Steam Pump Ranch.
